Olympia Storm Tank

This project has been a labour of love and hate, but after seeing a 3rd party kit, I had to get myself involved.

‘Da Vinci’, a fellow fan of the Age of the Emperor events and fellow magos, builds and releases some custom kits and vehicles that fit 40k quite well.

The Storm Tank is, as I remember, an old 40k concept picture that never got much further. The idea made its way into previous AOTE rules packs and returned for the latest instalment. A little begging on my part helped beef up the vehicle’s options, which served to further motivate me getting the model done!

Alas, the kit was a tough nut to crack and various parts were roughly worked into a decent form. I removed a little filigree and added a lot of small details to help cover gaps and surface damage. The weapon options are to follow.

Very nice! I actually started building one of two Olympias I’d ordered from Da Vinci recently, though I’ve only gotten the main hull assembled and greenstuffed. Hoping to get to the tracks over the weekend. I should have it all done in time to attend the March event in 2012!

    Keep up the great work!

It’s a cheap full resin kit that is as cheap as chips lol.
As is the whole range of Bare Bones. Get lots of army’s out each year and pay the minimum price lol.
Yes the model was moulded quick for the AotE.
The new molds should address known issues.
Sorry if it gave you problems.
I wasn’t joking on the certificate of ownership.

I am very interested in models or conversion kits for the Heresy era. Is there a site or something for Da Vinci’s work?
