Hello Godhammer!

In March, the Mechanicum return. This means I get to dig out my 4,000-odd points of red coats to play bolter-fodder once more. Or does it?

Godhammer is a Forgeworld and the focal point of the 6th Age of the Emperor instalment. Everyone with a spaceboat has their eye on the planet...

It's our planet and we're going to keep it that way, Omnissiah-willing!

Farewell Golconda

I can only blame the 6-week drought of posts on my inability to manage my hobby time and get my army done for the event last weekend! With the panic now over and the most enjoyable event now over, it is time to reflect and get back to planning future projects.

In the beginning, there was one.

After spending the evening gathering the various models, bits and scraps that should hopefully become my Iron Hands army, I packed a test list into my case for a game against King Fluff tomorrow.

We've arranged to begin testing lists and missions with the biggest of them all - the Heavy Assault. This is a 2,500 list, annihilation and allows a superheavy.

Due to packing almost everything away, I don;'t have a picture of the army!

And what do I have to show for both?

Watch this space!

Grey Knights models – initial thoughts on chapter 666

Games Workshop have officially unveiled the new Grey Knight models. I was slightly aghast when I saw the first image of the new Grey Knight models. Take a look at this and have a little think about it:

It's a little disturbing to see. Oversized,  daft looking wrist-mounted Stormbolter and the laziest 'teleporter' device I could imagine. The whole model looks quite amateur and silly. The stormbolter seems such a shame, following the more ergonomic Blood Angels and, well, the codex cover:
