I’ve not done a lot of blogging in 2017, although I have posted a lot of pictures directly on the the facebook account for MyWargame and I thought a post was overdue. I did spent a lot of hobby time working on sci-fi models this year so as a bit of fun, here’s some of the highlights with the context of the Rogue Stars campaign that I’m continuing to run for a growing group of players.

I took advantage of a recent sale over at Black Tree Design and bought a selection of Dwarves, Undead and feudal humans. There was a small delay in the order due to the humans being out of stock, but after speaking to them on Facebook, they were happy to switch the product and get the order out to me. They even chucked in an extra blister for the delay!
So one of the perks of being the brother of a sculptor running a Kickstarter is getting early access to some of the pre-production models.
I’ve had a quick paint up of the Cirripod family and placed them into some sci-fi environments to see how they look…
On the crystalline planet Aarkaon IV, Red Squad troopers (from Heresy) investigate a strange egg cluster, only to discover adult creatures nearby. Burn it! Burn it with fire!
I’ve been enjoying the fresh and simple approach to fantasy wargaming that Kings of War has provided me for around a year now. I’ve been slowly tweaking my army collections to take advantage of the forces available in that game, so while my undead are seeing some minor changes and options, my wood elves have been more dramatically impacted.
