Rebuilding the 1st company
I've never been a big fan or Terminators, but somehow I have a few dozen models gathered over the years that get dragged through failed projects.
As you will later notice from the colours, I attempted to build a small force up as 1st company Lamenters, using the lovely new Space Hulk models. It seemed the best choice for a yellow legion that didn't offer too much damage to the models. Tears are tears, whether they are red or blue! That got as far as one painted marine, but some decent model conversions.
Olympia Storm Tank
This project has been a labour of love and hate, but after seeing a 3rd party kit, I had to get myself involved.
'Da Vinci', a fellow fan of the Age of the Emperor events and fellow magos, builds and releases some custom kits and vehicles that fit 40k quite well.
A day in the warp
...somehow takes a a week in real life!
Last week I managed to get in a test game for the Age of the Emperor campaign, playing Heavy Assault. I literally threw together an army to face King Fluff's Space Wolves and managed to stop them in their tracks!
Here's a selection of images. My models are the mess of plastic and resin that don't look like Space Wolves!
In the beginning, there was one.
After spending the evening gathering the various models, bits and scraps that should hopefully become my Iron Hands army, I packed a test list into my case for a game against King Fluff tomorrow.
We've arranged to begin testing lists and missions with the biggest of them all - the Heavy Assault. This is a 2,500 list, annihilation and allows a superheavy.
Due to packing almost everything away, I don;'t have a picture of the army!
A sign of things to come
Alas, I have overcome the fel beast know as lethargy and given myself a firm kick up the bum. Next month is Games Day UK and 2 weeks after that I am supposed to be fielding a lot of Space Marines against the traitorous legions of Horus.
And what do I have to show for both?
Watch this space!
